Dispatches from the Simulated Mindscape

________________________________________________________________________________

How do you explain to someone that nearly every aspect of them is essentially programming?

It’s an honest question. Nearly every element of the self is a predetermined fabrication—or the developed consequence of events, all ultimately stemming from predetermined constructs almost entirely outside of one’s control.

A lot of us acknowledge this, at least on some level. I know my inclination to drink my coffee black comes from my father’s habits. My personal disposition? A delicate balance between favorite writers like Hunter S. Thompson, juxtaposed with the likes of Douglas Adams.

Where people start to shut down is when they brush up against just how much of their commonly accepted worldview—and its very context—is fabricated programming. When they have to admit they might be wrong about a thing or two? Or that things are far more complex than they’re comfortable facing?

That’s when they shut the door.

Some have the mind to go deeper, but social conditioning has lobotomized critical thinking. It keeps thought trapped in a narrow framework designed to fit the system of control.

Rationality went out the window—probably around the time the planes struck the Twin Towers. A lot has been done since, all in the name of public safety and national security. And in the pressure of chaos, the public looked the other way while the black mold of the dirty MK Ultra days festered into the fungal infection now controlling the brains of everyone in Washington.

Today, the best tactic in their playbook (and by “they,” let’s just say the ruling elite—breaking it down further would require a lengthy dissertation) is to destabilize any movement or perspective that threatens the system of control.

That’s where the term “conspiracy theory” comes from. And why the knee-jerk reaction to any conspiratorial breakdown has been conditioned over time to feel absurd.

As people start recognizing the few strings they can make out in the haze, tactics are deployed to discredit or misdirect them. Take the far right: they love invoking The Matrix allegory—blue pill vs. red pill. They’ll use the memetic parallel to reality while refusing to question the obvious deceit right in front of them. This hypocrisy creates an atmosphere where no critical observer can take them seriously. Even if they could, the Matrix ideology itself has been neutered, defanged, repackaged. The franchise itself was simply a regurguation of the age old Allegory of the Cave.

Unfortunately, unplugging is not as simple as answering an old landline...Believe me, I've tried.
Unfortunately, unplugging is not as simple as answering an old landline...Believe me, I've tried.

But everything is a simulation. Even if we leave the nature of base reality out of it, your reality is one hundred percent simulated. As we brushed on earlier in this little late-night rant, nearly every choice you’ve made wasn’t really yours. Or if it was, your hands were tied—even if you didn’t want to see it.

Most of your worldview was curated by others. Influenced by the people you surrounded yourself with. By sources you decided to trust. And 99% of any information you’ve ever considered factual was handed to you in a way that you simply accepted.

When you really drill down, the list of what we know is infinitely smaller than the list of what we assume based on trusted sources. And once you start peeling back the layers—of psychology, of manipulation—the picture isn’t pretty.

It’s no secret we’re in social turmoil. America’s third-grade reading level isn’t helping. Worse still, people no longer know how to cross-reference or parse data—just as they’re bombarded nonstop with bullshit on all fronts.

I work with images daily. I stay on the cutting edge. I work a lot with LLMs like GPT as well. So for me, spotting bullshit AI-generated video, imagery and text, is simple. Most people in my circles lack this developed sense. They pass along nonsense content designed to muddy the narrative because it fooled their underdeveloped filters for this level of manipulation.

There’s a war on human consciousness. It’s been happening since at least 1954. Psychology weaponized. Food and medicine weaponized. Media manipulation. Distorted history. Social narratives—entire movements—hijacked. Geopolitical destabilization as a tool of dominance.

The chaos and uncertainty you see around you? Neither chaotic nor uncertain. It’s exactly as expected. Exactly as designed.

And honestly—I’m not sure there’s much we can do about it as long as people refuse to admit the farce playing out in front of them.

Not much… except observe. And report.

So that’s what I’ll be doing here.

This isn’t going to be a news outlet. Definitely not hard news. These will be the ramblings of a rogue journalist observing the fall—or salvation—of civilization.

To keep what little sanity I have left, I’ll take in the week’s news and discussions, and beat the piss out of my keyboard to see what comes out.

Welcome.
